Student Council
Students in Grades 4 – 8 are encouraged to participate in Student Council. As a part of our school’s student government body, they are introduced to the skills necessary to be servant leaders. Participation in Student Council teaches them the importance of community involvement.
Student Council officers are elected by the entire student body and are responsible for planning various activities throughout the school year. Events organized by the Student Council include:
- schoolwide Red Ribbon Week and Catholic Schools Week activities
- local community projects
- fundraisers
- pep rallies
- assemblies
Through the donation of their time, talent, and energy, Student Council officers learn the joy of giving back and fostering community among their fellow students and neighbors in the Coachella Valley.
As individuals, each Student Council officer learns various life skills. These include:
- public speaking
- how to plan and conduct official council meetings
- most importantly, how to communicate and work as a team
Student Council creates the foundation on which each officer can build well into their adult years.
